WhatEyeColor.com takes two close-up eye photos and uses generative AI to weave both iris patterns into a single circular composition, producing an image that is simultaneously both people and neither one alone.

The result is a high-resolution artwork suitable for printing, framing, or sharing — a keepsake that only the two of you could have made.

The technology

WhatEyeColor.com is built on Google's Gemini multimodal AI, a large-scale vision model capable of understanding fine structural detail in images. We prompt it to read each iris as a source of texture, color, and pattern — then synthesize a new composition that honors both.

Outputs are generated at high resolution. Your photos are transmitted to Google's API only for generation and are never used to train AI models without your consent.

Privacy by design

You can create and preview artwork without an account — we identify your session by a browser key alone, with no email, name, or phone number. After a purchase you create a free account with just your email — we send you a 4-digit code, no password — so your artwork stays yours on any device. Your photos are stored only long enough to generate and serve your artwork, and you can request deletion at any time.
